So here’s the deal. This was an absolute headache to create.  I’m in the early days of After Effects script writing and I may have bit off too much, but go big or go home, right!?  Annnnnnnyway, need a script will move the Anchor Point of a layer quickly?  This will do it for you.  It’s simple, but does the job it was intended for.

Hope it helps you!

This has been tested in After Effects 2020 only.  But shouldn’t give you any issues if you’re on a different version.

Unzip the file and place all the file in the Script UI folder. Make sure the (Cthulhu Anchor Point_Resources) folder makes it in the Script UI folder also or it won’t work correctly.

(Windows) Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects <version>\Support Files\Scripts\ScriptUI Panels
(Mac OS) /Applications/Adobe After Effects <version>/Support Files/Scripts/ScriptUI Panels

To Run the Script:

Click Window -> Cthulhu Anchor Point -> Run and/or dock Script panel.
